The UUSC Coffee Project

Sky Island Unitarian Universalist Church (SIUUC) is a participant in the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s (UUSC) “Coffee Project”. Through the Coffee Project, our congregation can buy fair trade coffee, tea, sugar, chocolate bars, and other tasty treats.

eeThe Coffee Project works in collaboration with Equal Exchange (a worker-owned, fair trade company based in Massachusetts).  Equal Exchange sources the goods directly from farmer cooperatives, following the standards and principles of fair trade on 100% of its products. This ensures that farmers earn a fair price for their crops, allowing them to better meet their families’ basic needs for food, education, and health care — and their long-term security.

SIUUC currently sells coffee (regular and decaf), teas, and a variety of delicious chocolates. Check out the display this Sunday!

All profits from the sale of UUSC goods are donated directly to our Social Action Committee.
